2009 Season - Week 11
Owners Hall of Fame
Thanks to everyone for voting for their Hall of Fame Owner 2009. Sorry but you gotta do it again. I expect the internet to get busy with 2 people telling you why you should vote for them. In total 9 owners received nominations, Aaron, Andy H, Craig, Dave G, Daz and Gully all got 1 nomination, Wayne received 2 while Johnny and Marcus picked up 4 each.. So all of you need to now vote for either “The original and the best” or “The youngest ever winner and only owner to do the double”. Johnny and Marcus may not vote but they can lobby like crazy. Please get your vote back to me by Saturday December 5th.
Trading Day 2
9 owners made changes on Sunday with 17 players being cut. The details are attached and a full summary will be in next weeks newsletter but you have to feel for John who dropped his 3 Tight Ends as he looks to move off the bottom of the table only to see them all score TDs within hours of being cut. Infact Kevin Boss had 2 TDs, as many as he scored for John in 10 weeks! With none of his new boys scoring he sits at minus 24 points for Trading Day 2.
A visit from Washington
Next Sunday 8 year BUM Paul Privitera will be at HQ for the 6pm game to discuss the state of his Bills and firing of Dick Jauron and an update on what people in DC think of the Redskins season. I hope we have plenty of BUMS present to catch up with the 2–time runner-up in the hunt for the Papas Fritas.
Thanksgiving Day this Thursday
We will be at HQ from 6:30pm to watch two of the Thanksgiving Triple Header games on Sky and Cheryl will be making her delicious Thanksgiving Dinner. Let me know if you are coming by Wednesday so Cheryl knows what size turkey to get. So far we have 7 (poss 8) BUMS attending, Aaron, Cheryl, Chief, David S, H, Johnny, Marcus and possibly Mark. The Detroit/Green Bay starts at 5:30 but we will play catch up from 6:30 & that is followed by The Mighty Oakland Raiders visit to Dallas in the new stunning Jerry Jones Dome. We won’t stay up for the Giants @ Denver as it doesn’t start until 1am our time!
BUMS on Seats.
After Thursdays Thanksgiving blow-out we will be back at HQ on Sunday evening at 6pm for the AFC North match-up of the unbeaten Indianapolis Colts @ Houston in a game the Texans need, to stay in the wildcard hunt followed by the NFC North game as the stumbling Chicago Bears travel to Minnesota to play the 1 loss Vikings. It’s H’s on Monday from 6:30pm for the AFC North game of Pittsburgh @ Baltimore. Call if you are coming.
